Had more issues with my Direct Debit payment now that woman in Downing Street had upset every pensioner in the UK.
After conversing with Ayman in the Digi Ops Dept and putting over my point of view as well as listening to his, on behalf of EDF the problem was quickly sorted.

Not good enough a call would have been better. Luckily when I called to make another appointment i had a lovely woman called Julia from team S. I was so cross having had to stay in all morning only to have appointment cancelled at last minute but she handled the situation very professionally and kindly. I'd like to add I think you need to treat your customers with more respect. You have a lot to learn from Julia.

2 hours agoI had disccused with with edf agent today regarding the bill after submiting the meter reading. my issue is not happy how edf is now demanding monthly payment rather than quatertly on this electricty bill. the agent is addressing the issues to you regarding this new method of payment to you, for your attention. Because this new method of payment is not appopriate to me as existing customer to EDF. thanks for your anderstanding regarding this matter. Etienne sanda-nabede

I have a business account with EDF for electricity, no dramas until recently.
Gave EDF new D/D details in late July, I have an email from 25/07/24 confirming they had received them and would deal with it accordingly.
I (stupidly) assumed they would sort it
September comes along, I realise they haven't taken payment in 2 months and we are £700 in debt to them.
I call up explain the situation and even though there is a language issue I eventually get somewhere, come to an arrangement with the guy who says he'll send an email for me to read and agree to the details and get the ball rolling.
No email ever arrives.
So I try them on WhatsApp. It takes over 24 hrs to get a reply, I pass security, they ask how they can help, I reply and nothing back from them. Total radio silence.
I just want to pay them and set up a new D/D, it's ridiculous that a company this size has failed in three separate ways to help me give them the money I owe them 😭
